How To Improve IQ?

Can you improve IQ and brainpower in general? You bet, and it isn't always difficult. I write about dozens of techniques for IQ and general brainpower improvement, and I have seen IQ scores go up by applying these techniques. A more usable brain is more important than a score, though, so sit down with a cup of coffee (your first IQ improvement tip) and take notes as you read through the list below.

Improve IQ- A Few Ways

1.Improve your beliefs.

When you believe you are smarter, you become smarter. Though affirmations may work, evidence is even better, so make a note of your successes. Start telling yourself, "Hey, that was really creative," when you do something creative. When you have a good idea, make a note of it. Gather the evidence for your own IQ improvement and you'll start to experience more of it as you believe in it.

2.Sniffing things.

Rosemary may have an effect on the brain when the scent is inhaled. I am waiting for the research, but some people swear that just sniffing rosemary wakes up their brain. With safe techniques like this, I say give it a try. You probably have rosemary in your spice rack. I have been smelling everything in the kitchen, and it sure seems like some things calm me down, while others perk up my brain. This is safe enough that we can all be brain-enhancement science pioneers.

3.Write.

This is good for your mind in a number of ways. You tell your memory what is important, which helps you recall things more easily in the future. Writing is a good way to clarify your thinking, and it is a way to exercise your creativity and analytical ability. Personal diaries, idea-journals, poetry, note-taking and story-writing are all ways to use writing to boost your brain power and improve IQ

4.Play Mozart.

Researchers found, in a study at the University of California, that children who studied piano and sang daily in chorus, were much better at solving puzzles, and when tested, scored 80% higher in spatial intelligence than the non-musical group. In another study, 36 students were given three spatial reasoning tests on a standard IQ test. Just before the first test, they listened to Mozart's sonata for Two Pianos in D Major, K. 448 for ten minutes. Before the second test, they listened to a relaxation tape. Before the third, they sat in silence. The average scores for all 36 students: 1st test: 119. 2nd test: 111. 3rd test: 110. Improve IQ by nine-points with Mozart!

5.Eat fish.

Eating fish speeds up brain waves, and improves concentration. Researchers have also found an almost perfect correlation between intake of fish and lowered levels of depression in the various countries of the world. The U.S. has 24 times the incidence of depression as Japan, for example, where fish intake is much higher. Not all fish are equal, though. Try to eat salmon and other fish that have a fair amount of fat in them.

Stop unnecessary arguing. Defend a position too vigorously, especially when it is just to "win" the argument, and you invest your ego into it. Ego-defending is not conducive to the easy acceptance and use of new information. In other words, you put your mind in a rut, and you dig it deeper with each argument. Debate can be a valuable thing, but when the ego takes over, the mind closes a little. This is not a way to improve IQ.

Geographic Information System

A system geographic system information (GIS) integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information.

GIS allows us to view, understand, question, interpret, and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, globes, reports, and charts.

A GIS helps you answer questions and solve problems by looking at your data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared.

GIS technology can be integrated into any enterprise information system framework.

Three Views of a GIS

A GIS is most often associated with a map. A map, however, is only one way you can work with geographic data in a GIS, and only one type of product generated by a GIS. A GIS can provide a great deal more problem-solving capabilities than using a simple mapping program or adding data to an online mapping tool (creating a "mash-up").

A GIS can be viewed in three ways:

  1. The Database View: A GIS is a unique kind of database of the world—a geographic database (geodatabase). It is an "Information System for Geography." Fundamentally, a GIS is based on a structured database that describes the world in geographic terms.

Example of geodata showing tabular address data related to a street map.
  2. The Map View: A GIS is a set of intelligent maps and other views that show features and feature relationships on the earth's surface. Maps of the underlying geographic information can be constructed and used as "windows into the database" to support queries, analysis, and editing of the information.

  3. The Model View: A GIS is a set of information transformation tools that derive new information datasets from existing datasets. These geoprocessing functions take information from existing datasets, apply analytic functions, and write results into new derived datasets.

Example of a model or process flow, with datasets, functions, and results.

By combining data and applying some analytic rules, you can create a model that helps answer the question you have posed. In the example below, GPS and GIS were used to accurately model the expected location and distribution of debris for the Space Shuttle Columbia, which broke up upon re-entry over eastern Texas on February 1, 2003.

Together, these three views are critical parts of an intelligent GIS and are used at varying levels in all GIS applications.

Four Things That Can You Do For A Health Insurance When You Become A Unemployed

Being unemployed is an emotional, psychological and financial challenge for most of us. The last thing we need at such a time is substantial medical bills to pay because we broke a leg in a freak accident. We still need a health insurance to shield ourselves from huge medical bills in times of trouble. Here are four things we can do during the period of unemployment to ensure we are still covered by a such policy:

Remain On Previous Employer´s Health Coverage Plan

If you know that you are between jobs and will not need long term help, you can choose to remain on your previous employer´s medical coverage plan. This is in line with the COBRA act that regulates that employees can keep their insurance as long as they make the premium payments even after losing their jobs.

Find out if you can afford to make the payments. You may be able to remain on the plan for up to 12 months. You could also include your spouse and children in the plan if they are dependent on you for these medical health plans.. However, as the premium will no longer be supplemented by your employer, it may not be as cost effective as it was previously.

Purchase Medical Plan

You can do some research on your own There are several companies that provide health insurance to unemployed people as they do not require employment verification. All they need is a verifiable bank account. The prices can be quite affordable and they do provide good coverage.

Look Into State Sponsored Health Care

You may want to contact your state´s department of insurance find out if you are eligible for state-sponsored health care or government-sponsored care such as Medicaid. You can also enquire about other low cost medical plans available.

Add To Spouse´s Health Insurance Coverage

If you spouse is employed and is covered by health insurance, you can request to be added to his or her coverage policy. This would also probably add on to the premiums but is definitely worth it.

Earning Money By Business Online.

Most people have no idea how to put their online business ideas into practice in order to earn money . If you want to earn money by using the internet you must have a goal. Without that, you cannot set targets, and without targets you will fail! All entrepreneur must have a goal and must set targets that will be the foundation of their business plans.

Nothing could be more true than the old adage that a failure to plan is a plan to failure. As a simple goal, decide how much money you want to make in your first year. You could be silly and decide on a million dollars, but you are unlikely to achieve that, so be realistic: say $75,000 in your first year.

You can then break that down into monthly amounts, starting small and increasing each month, which will give you the basis of your targets. You then have to plan a way to meet these targets. That is is a solid foundation for a strong online business.

However, your problem now is how to make the money you want to make by putting your great online business ideas into practice. There are many, many ways in which you are able to make money online, some of the more common being:

1. Creating your own product or service.

Perhaps you have a skill or specialized knowledge that others will pay for. You might be a children's entertainer or a hypnotherapist. Maybe you are able to write an eBook that teaches people how to train cats, or can shoot a video series on cooking or hypnotism.

There is one operson I know, who make a load of money by creating several short videos, showing visually how to complete some basic tasks, such as changing a plug, renewing the oil in a car, and properly cleaming upholstery.

Although a simple idea, it has a large number of potential customers. Just think about all these guys that don't know one end of a screwdriver from another, or all those women that live alone and need some help. That is one of the best online busines ideas I have heard of, and he makes a massive amount of money from it.

Think about your skills, your knowledge and what you can do for people, and try to figure out a way of marketing that online in a way that people will buy your special skills or knowledge. I am a good writer, and make money online writing articles to help others to promote their websites.

2. Sell somebody else's product

If you are unable to produce a product of your own, then make money online by selling somebody else's product. Everybody try to learn how to make money online has heard of affiliate marketing, even if they don't recognise the word. Affiliate marketing is earning a commission by selling products that belong to other people.

If that product is able to be delivered online or by email - by email or downloaded - Then the commission could be 50% or over, because the products do not have no replacement cost when sold. Unlike a tub of vitamins, an eBook or software application doesn't have to be produced again once it has been sold, so the vast majority of the selling price is profit. You can therefore be paid more for selling it. 50% is about minimum for such items, and some go as high as 75% or even 80%.

3. Others

Among other ways of making money online are multi-level marketing (MLM), where you recruit others to sell products for you, you receiving a commission on their sales, buying on eBay, and selling the same items for more than you paid for them, buying items in bulk when they are in high supply, and selling at a high price when they are scarce (e.g. certain toys at Christmas time), and many others.

Each of these money-making techniques has one thing in common: you must learn how to achieve your goals and how to market what you are doing online. Even your eBay business has to be promoted by means of your 'product description'. All those great online business ideas you have - unless you know how to use them online to make money they will be worth nothing to you. You must learn how to use internet marketing to your advantage, and that requires knowledge of its techniques, tools and tricks that are there to enable you to succeeed if only you knew what they were.

Most businesses need a web presence, either as a traditional website or some other presence on the web such as a Squidoo lens or participation in social networking. They might also need software, and knowledge of how to use it, and knowledge of how to attract traffic - potential customers. Your business cannot succeed without customers.

This is where most people begin to fail. It is a fact that 99% of those that start fail to make money online. They fail for one of 4 reasons:

1. Lack of Planning

They did not have a clear objective in mind and did not plan properly. Their businesses were were not built on strong foundations, and they regarded them as a pastime and not a living. They fell foul of one of the major problems of home working: worked part-time, and took time off whenever they felt like it rather than set out the daily tasks needed to meet their targets and work until they were completed.

2. Lack of focus: Information Overload

They did not focus, and jumped from one program to another. They were overloaded with information, and couldn't provide any program they started with the time needed to make it successful for them. They tried too much at one time and so failed in everything.

3. Lack of Perseverance

They gave up to soon. Building a profitable online business can take time. Unless you are extremely lucky, there is no such thing as 'get rich quick'. It is not easy work, making money online, but the succesful are those that persevere during and after failure. Most don't!

4. Lack of Knowledge

This is the least reason for failure. There is no need for lack of knowledge in the internet age - everything you need is on the internet, yet too many people ignore that, thinking they know better. They very rarely do. Learn from the work of others: do not reinvent the wheel. Trite, I know, but true nevertheless.

Use any internet coaching courses available that you can find online. It could be expensive, I know, but there are ways to learn all you need to know without spending a lot of money.
It is important that you do not fail for any one of the above reasons because they are all avoidable. It is unfortunate that so many dreams are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, planning, perseverance and focus. All are avoidable. You should use your online business ideas properly by learning the best and most effective way to put them into practice, and learning how the tools that are available to help you can be used to your advantage.
